Phonics Flash Cards
Each deck contains 81 cards. All letters are lower case. Every letter of the alphabet has several flash cards, each with a different picture of something that begins with that sound/letter as memory enhancing devices. We provide more than one card for a letter because some students have trouble producing the right sound with a particular word. For instance, some students cannot separate out the beginning "e" and the "l" that follows it in the word elephant. For these students Eskimo is a more useful clue word/picture. The fact that there is more than one card for each letter allows the teacher to remove an especially challenging card.

This tool is part of the Jilly Bean Reading Program (which will be available for sale in the Fall). The primary teaching of reading of English in this program will be accomplished by computer. The Jilly Bean Readers are also a supplemental part of this program.
